How to make kantola/kakora sabji
Rinse and cut kantola (spiny guard)
๐ Take 250 gm spiny guard (kantola). Rinse and cut into small pieces as shown in above image. Rinsing is important because spiny guard outer part has chance dusty.
๐ If from spiny guard red seeds comes out then remove it. You can use outer part from them.
Saute onion and tomato
๐ Add 2 tsp oil
๐ Add 3/4 tsp cumin (jeera)
๐ Add 1 finely chopped onion
๐ Add 2 chopped green chilli
๐ Add 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
Saute for 1 minute
๐ Add 2 finely chopped tomato
Saute for 5 minute
Add necessary ingredients and cook
๐ Add salt according to taste
๐ Add 1/2 tsp coriander powder
๐ Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi powder)
๐ Add 1/2 tsp Garam masala
๐ Add 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
๐ Add 1/2 cup water
Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
Cook kantola (spiny guard)
๐ Add 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
๐ Add 250 gm chopped Spiny guard (kantola)
๐ Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes at medium flame
๐ Then, add 1 glass water and cook for 12-15 minutes at medium flame.
๐ And at the end add 1/2 lemon juice and 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
